Problem

Two identical speakers emit sound waves of frequency 680 Hz680\,\mathrm{Hz} uniformly in all directions, with a total audio output of 1 mW1\,\mathrm{mW} each. The speed of sound in air is 340 m s−1340\,\mathrm{m\,s^{-1}}. A point PP is 2.00 m2.00\,\mathrm{m} from one speaker and 3.00 m3.00\,\mathrm{m} from the other. (1) Find the intensities I1I_1 and I2I_2 from each speaker at point PP separately. (2) If the speakers are driven coherently and in phase, what is the intensity at point PP? (3) If they are driven coherently but out of phase by 180∘180^\circ, what is the intensity at point PP? (4) If the speakers are incoherent, what is the intensity at point PP?
