Problem

Nitrogen dioxide decomposes in the gas phase by the reaction 2 NO2(g)→2 NO(g)+O2(g)2\,\text{NO}_2(g) \rightarrow 2\,\text{NO}(g) + \text{O}_2(g). A vessel initially contains 0.800 M NO2\text{NO}_2 and no products. After 25 s, the concentration of NO\text{NO} is found to be 0.120 M. Calculate the concentrations of (i) NO2\text{NO}_2 and (ii) O2\text{O}_2 in the vessel at t=25 st = 25\,\text{s}.
