Problem

Two infinite geometric progressions have first terms 1010 and 66 respectively. The common ratio of the first is rr while that of the second is 12\tfrac12. The sum of the first progression exceeds the sum of the second by 88, and the larger sum is 53\tfrac53 times the smaller. Determine the value of rr.
