Problem

Events EE and FF in a probability experiment satisfy P(E)=0.6P(E)=0.6, P(F)=0.5P(F)=0.5 and P(E∩F)=0.28P(E\cap F)=0.28. A third event GG is such that P(G∣E∩F)=0.7P(G\mid E\cap F)=0.7 and P(G∣E∩Fc)=0.4P(G\mid E\cap F^{c})=0.4. (i) Verify whether EE and FF are independent events. (ii) Find P(E∣F)P(E\mid F) and P(F∣E)P(F\mid E). (iii) Calculate the probability that all three events EE, FF and GG occur together.
