Problem

Let nn be a positive integer. The expression (3x2−2x)n(3x^{2}-\dfrac{2}{x})^{n} is expanded in ascending powers of xx. (i) Write the general term Tr+1T_{r+1} of the expansion in terms of nn and rr. (ii) Show that the power of xx in Tr+1T_{r+1} is 2n−3r2n-3r. (iii) For n=8n=8, determine all integral values of rr for which the term is independent of xx.
