Problem

A cyclist rides along a straight track coincident with the xx–axis. For 0≤t≤100\le t\le10 seconds, the horizontal velocity (in meters per second) is given by vx(t)=0.6t2−4t+7.v_x(t)=0.6t^{2}-4t+7. At t=0t=0 the cyclist is 22 meters from the origin in the positive xx–direction. (a) Determine the cyclist’s position function x(t)x(t) for 0≤t≤100\le t\le10 seconds. (b) Find all values of tt in [0,10][0,10] at which the cyclist is momentarily at rest. (c) Calculate the cyclist’s net displacement over the interval 0≤t≤100\le t\le10 seconds.
