When one end is struck with a hammer, a student at the other end hears two sounds—one that travels through the rail and a later one that travels through the air. If the speed of sound in steel is 5000 m/s5000\,\text{m/s} and in air is 330 m/s330\,\text{m/s}, calculate the time interval between the arrival of the two sounds at the student’s ear.
