Problem
Two steel rods are 6 m 44 cm and 8 m 12 cm long respectively. Each rod is to be cut into smaller pieces of equal length with no material wasted. After cutting, the pieces from both rods are to be packed into identical bundles, each bundle containing the same number of pieces from each original rod.
(i) Find the greatest possible length of each small piece.
(ii) Determine the number of pieces obtained from each original rod.
(iii) Calculate the least number of pieces that must be placed in each bundle so that all bundles are identical and no piece is left unpacked.
