A sack of rice of mass MM is lifted to a height hh above the floor. (i) If the mass is doubled while the height remains hh, how does its gravitational potential energy change? (ii) If the height is reduced to h2\tfrac{h}{2} while the mass remains MM, how does its gravitational potential energy change? Give a brief reason for each case.
