Problem

Two infinite geometric series are given below. Series AA: first term 1212 and common ratio 14\frac{1}{4} Series BB: first term 99 and common ratio 25\frac{2}{5} Respond to the tasks that follow. (i) Find the sum to infinity of Series AA and of Series BB. (ii) Calculate the ratio SASB\dfrac{S_A}{S_B}, where SAS_A and SBS_B denote the respective sums to infinity. (iii) Determine the numerical difference SA−SBS_A-S_B. State your result correct to two decimal places.
