Problem

A 250 g250\,\text{g} glider moves frictionlessly on a horizontal air track. It completes 1010 full oscillations in 4.00 s4.00\,\text{s} and has a maximum displacement of 4.0 cm4.0\,\text{cm} from equilibrium. When the displacement of the glider is exactly one-third of its amplitude, answer the following. (a) Calculate the angular frequency of the motion. (b) Find the kinetic energy of the glider at this instant. (c) Determine the potential energy of the glider at the same instant. (d) Compute the speed of the glider at this displacement.
