Problem

A wire is bent to form a square loop of side 12 cm12\,\text{cm} carrying a current of 3 A3\,\text{A}. The loop is placed in a uniform magnetic field of 0.25 T0.25\,\text{T} making an angle of 30∘30^{\circ} with the normal to the plane of the loop. (a) Calculate the torque acting on the square loop. (b) The same wire is reshaped into a single circular loop of the same area and kept in the same orientation in the field with the same current. Determine the new torque.
