Problem

An aquarium wall consists of a 1.5 cm1.5\,\text{cm} thick glass pane (refractive index 1.51.5). The water level inside the aquarium is 50 cm50\,\text{cm} above the inner surface of the glass. For an observer in air looking normally through the glass, compute the apparent distance of a stone lying on the bottom from the outer surface of the glass pane. (Take refractive index of water = 1.331.33.)
