Problem

For a certain metal, the threshold frequency is 5.0×1014 Hz5.0\times10^{14}\,\text{Hz}. When light of frequency 7.0×1014 Hz7.0\times10^{14}\,\text{Hz} is incident on it, the measured stopping potential is 2.5 V2.5\,\text{V}. Calculate the stopping potential when the frequency of the incident light is increased to 8.0×1014 Hz8.0\times10^{14}\,\text{Hz}, the intensity remaining the same.
