Problem

Chlorine has two stable isotopes, 35Cl^{35}\text{Cl} and 37Cl^{37}\text{Cl}. Consider the lighter isotope only. (a) Calculate the nuclear radius of a 35Cl^{35}\text{Cl} nucleus. (b) Determine its nuclear surface area. (c) Express the radius obtained in part (a) in both femtometres (fm) and metres (m), showing the conversion clearly.
