Problem

Calculate the acceleration in the following situations: (1) A boy walking along the road changes his speed from 0.6 ms−10.6 \text{ ms}^{-1} to 1.2 ms−11.2 \text{ ms}^{-1} in a time of 1 minute. (2) The velocity of an electron changes from 0.0 ms−10.0 \text{ ms}^{-1} to 2×107 ms−12 \times 10^7 \text{ ms}^{-1} in a time of 4.0 ns. (3) An aeroplane approaching an airport changes its speed from 90 ms−190 \text{ ms}^{-1} to 30 ms−130 \text{ ms}^{-1} in a time of 20 minutes.
