Problem

For a body executing simple harmonic motion, the kinetic energy is zero at displacements x=±6 cmx = \pm 6\,\text{cm} and is 0.72 J0.72\,\text{J} at the equilibrium position. If the time period of oscillation is 1.0 s1.0\,\text{s}, calculate: (i) the total mechanical energy of the oscillation, and (ii) the mass of the body.
