Problem

In a four-stage process, a component must pass tests T1,T2,T3T_1, T_2, T_3 and T4T_4 in that order. • P(T1)=0.85P(T_1)=0.85. • If T1T_1 is passed, the probability of passing T2T_2 is 0.800.80. • T3T_3 is independent of T1T_1 and T2T_2, with P(T3)=0.90P(T_3)=0.90. • If the first three tests are all passed, the probability of passing T4T_4 is 0.950.95. Calculate the probability that a component passes all four tests.
