Problem

A particular nuclide has an experimentally measured radius of 5.2 fm5.2\,\text{fm}. (i) Estimate its mass number AA. (ii) Using the constant nuclear density obtained in Question 1(ii), calculate the mass of this nucleus in kilograms. (iii) Compute the surface area of the nucleus and hence the average surface mass density (mass per unit surface area). Comment on how this value compares with ordinary macroscopic materials.
