• The sum to infinity of the progression is 6.
• The sum of the first three terms is 5.
(i) Determine the first term a and the common ratio r.
(ii) Calculate the sum of the first five terms.
(iii) If 1 is added to every term of the original progression, examine whether the new series has a finite sum to infinity. If it does, find that sum; if it does not, state why.
