Problem

A particle executing simple harmonic motion has angular frequency 10π rad s−110\pi\,\text{rad}\,\text{s}^{-1}. At t=0t=0 its displacement is −3.0 cm-3.0\,\text{cm} and its velocity is +30π cm s−1+30\pi\,\text{cm}\,\text{s}^{-1}. For the motion described by x(t)=Acos⁡(ωt+ϕ)x(t)=A\cos(\omega t+\phi), find: (i) the amplitude AA, (ii) the phase constant ϕ\phi in degrees (0∘≤ϕ<360∘0^{\circ}\le\phi<360^{\circ}).
