Problem

When a vector P=4 i^−3 j^\mathbf{P}=4\,\hat{i}-3\,\hat{j} is added to an unknown vector Q\mathbf{Q}, the resultant is R=7 i^+5 j^\mathbf{R}=7\,\hat{i}+5\,\hat{j}. (i) Determine the components of Q\mathbf{Q} in unit–vector form. (ii) Calculate the magnitude of Q\mathbf{Q}. (iii) State the angle that Q\mathbf{Q} makes with the positive xx-axis.
