Problem
A ball is dropped from a height of 30 m. After each impact with the ground it rebounds to 54 of the height from which it fell.
(i) Find the height to which the ball rises after the 6th rebound.
(ii) Calculate the total vertical distance travelled by the ball up to the instant it hits the ground for the 6th time.
(iii) If the ball continues to bounce indefinitely, find the total vertical distance it will travel before coming to rest.
