Problem

Let hk(x)=x2+kx+1x2−(k+3)x+2k,k∈R.h_k(x)=\frac{x^2+kx+1}{x^2-(k+3)x+2k},\qquad k\in\mathbb R. (a) Find all real values of xx (in terms of kk) that make hkh_k undefined, and hence write the domain of hkh_k. (b) Determine the set of all real kk for which the domain of hkh_k is R∖{3}\mathbb R\setminus\{3\}. (c) Find every real kk for which hkh_k is defined for all real numbers.
