Problem

Two different random experiments are performed independently. Experiment I: A card is drawn at random from a well-shuffled standard deck of 52 playing cards. Experiment II: A basket contains 20 identical tokens numbered from 1 to 20. One token is drawn at random. (i) For Experiment I, calculate the probability of drawing (a) a face card, (b) a heart. (ii) For Experiment II, calculate the probability of drawing (a) a prime-numbered token, (b) a multiple of 4. (iii) Convert all four probabilities obtained in parts (i) and (ii) to equivalent fractions having a common denominator of 260. (iv) Using the results of part (iii), arrange the four events in decreasing order of likelihood and justify each comparison clearly.
