A 3kg block starts from rest at the top of a 5m long incline that makes an angle of 30∘ with the horizontal. Answer the following questions.
(i) Calculate the speed of the block at the bottom if the incline is smooth.
(ii) The same incline is now rough with a coefficient of kinetic friction 0.25. Calculate the speed of the block at the bottom.
(iii) Find the percentage loss of mechanical energy in part (ii) compared to part (i).
