Problem

A particle executes simple harmonic motion with frequency 5.0 Hz5.0\,\text{Hz}. Its displacement from equilibrium is measured along the yy–axis. (a) At t=0t = 0 the displacement is 0.030 m0.030\,\text{m}. (b) At t=0.020 st = 0.020\,\text{s} the displacement is 0.010 m0.010\,\text{m}. (i) Calculate the amplitude AA of the motion. (ii) Determine the initial phase ϕ\phi of the motion (in radians). (iii) Find the displacement of the particle at t=0.050 st = 0.050\,\text{s}.
