Problem

For a nonzero constant aa, define I(a)=∫eaxsin⁡(ax) dxI(a)=\displaystyle\int e^{ax}\sin(ax)\,dx. (1) Evaluate I(a)I(a) and express the antiderivative solely in terms of aa, xx, elementary functions, and a constant of integration. (2) Rewrite your result from part (a) in the form eax(Asin⁡(ax)+Bcos⁡(ax))+Ce^{ax}\bigl(A\sin(ax)+B\cos(ax)\bigr)+C. Determine AA and BB explicitly in terms of aa. (3) Compute lim⁡a→0I(a)a\displaystyle\lim_{a\to 0}\frac{I(a)}{a}, justifying each step of your limiting process, and interpret this limit in relation to the integral ∫x dx\int x\,dx. Explain the significance of your result.
