Problem

Two simple pendulums A and B of lengths LA=1.00 mL_{A}=1.00\,\text{m} and LB=1.44 mL_{B}=1.44\,\text{m} are suspended side by side at the same location where g=9.8 m s−2g=9.8\,\text{m\,s}^{-2}. Both are set into small-amplitude oscillations simultaneously. (i) Obtain the ratio of their angular frequencies ωA:ωB\omega_{A}:\omega_{B} in symbolic form and then calculate its numerical value. (ii) Compute the individual time periods TAT_{A} and TBT_{B}. (iii) How many complete oscillations does each pendulum make in 5 min5\,\text{min}? Which pendulum completes more oscillations in this interval? Show all calculations clearly.
