Problem

A rectangular coil ABCDABCD has 50 turns. The lengths of the sides are AB=CD=6 cmAB = CD = 6\,\text{cm} and BC=DA=4 cmBC = DA = 4\,\text{cm}. The coil is mounted on a light axle so that sides ABAB and CDCD are horizontal. A uniform magnetic field of 0.25 T0.25\,\text{T} acts horizontally from north to south. A current of 3 A3\,\text{A} flows through the coil in the order A→B→C→DA\rightarrow B\rightarrow C\rightarrow D as seen from the west side. (a) Direction of force on side ABAB (b) Direction of force on side CDCD (c) Sense of rotation of the coil
