Problem

In an arithmetic progression, the 6th term exceeds twice the 2nd term by 3, and the 11th term is 43. (a) Form two independent equations in the first term aa and the common difference dd based on the above information and hence determine the values of aa and dd. (b) Which term of this progression is equal to 100? Show your working clearly. (c) Find the sum of all terms of the progression that do not exceed 100.
