Problem

A hockey puck of mass 0.20 kg0.20\,\text{kg} slides over ice. It is struck so that its velocity changes from 5.0 m/s5.0\,\text{m/s} east to 15.0 m/s15.0\,\text{m/s} east in 0.40 s0.40\,\text{s}. (a) Calculate the initial momentum of the puck. (b) Calculate its final momentum. (c) Determine the magnitude of the average force exerted on the puck during this interval.
