Problem

In a circle with centre OO, chords ABAB and CDCD are equal. Let the perpendiculars from OO to ABAB and CDCD meet them at MM and NN respectively. (i) Show that OM=ONOM = ON. (ii) Prove that AM=MBAM = MB and CN=NDCN = ND. (iii) If AB=CD=24 cmAB = CD = 24\,\text{cm} and the radius of the circle is 15 cm15\,\text{cm}, find the length OMOM.
