Problem

Two light beams fall separately on the same metal surface. (i) Beam A has frequency 1.2 ν01.2\,\nu_{0} and intensity I0I_{0}, where ν0\nu_{0} is the threshold frequency of the metal. (ii) Beam B has frequency 1.5 ν01.5\,\nu_{0} and intensity I02\dfrac{I_{0}}{2}. For each beam, predict whether the saturation current and the stopping potential will be greater, smaller or equal compared to the other beam. Give brief reasons for each comparison.
