Problem

In a right-angled triangle, tan⁡θ=512\tan \theta = \dfrac{5}{12}. Answer the following questions, giving each result in its simplest fractional form unless stated otherwise: (i) Find sin⁡θ\sin \theta and cos⁡θ\cos \theta. (ii) Determine csc⁡θ\csc \theta and sec⁡θ\sec \theta. (iii) Verify that sin⁡2θ+cos⁡2θ=1\sin^{2}\theta+\cos^{2}\theta = 1 for the values obtained. (iv) If the side adjacent to angle θ\theta measures 60 cm, calculate the length of the hypotenuse.
