Problem

A laser beam in air (n=1.00n=1.00) strikes a flat glass plate (n=1.52n=1.52) at an incident angle of 30∘30^{\circ} to the normal, passes straight through the plate, and then enters a layer of machine oil (n=1.20n=1.20) whose surface is parallel to the two glass faces. Calculate the angle the beam makes with the normal in the oil. Give your answer to the nearest tenth of a degree.
