Problem

For the fusion reaction 2 ⁣H+3 ⁣H  ⟶  4 ⁣He+n,^{2}\!\text{H}+{}^{3}\!\text{H}\;\longrightarrow\;{}^{4}\!\text{He}+n, the binding energies are EB(2 ⁣H)=2.2 MeV,  EB(3 ⁣H)=8.5 MeV,  EB(4 ⁣He)=28.3 MeV.E_B(^{2}\!\text{H}) = 2.2\,\text{MeV},\; E_B(^{3}\!\text{H}) = 8.5\,\text{MeV},\; E_B(^{4}\!\text{He}) = 28.3\,\text{MeV}. Calculate the energy released in one such fusion reaction.
