Problem

The masses of a proton, neutron and a 24He^4_2\text{He} nucleus are mp=1.0073 um_p = 1.0073\,\text{u}, mn=1.0087 um_n = 1.0087\,\text{u} and mHe=4.0015 um_{\text{He}} = 4.0015\,\text{u} respectively. Using 1 u=931 MeV/c21\,\text{u}=931\,\text{MeV}/c^{2}, the binding energy per nucleon of 24He^4_2\text{He} is closest to (a) 28 MeV28\,\text{MeV} (b) 14 MeV14\,\text{MeV} (c) 7.1 MeV7.1\,\text{MeV} (d) 6.5 MeV6.5\,\text{MeV}
