Problem

Two identical strings of length 0.65 m0.65\,\text{m} are fixed on a guitar. The first string is under a tension of 60 N60\,\text{N} and, when plucked in its fundamental mode, sounds a note of 330 Hz330\,\text{Hz}. When the second string is plucked simultaneously with the first, six beats per second are heard. Assuming both strings have the same linear mass density, calculate the two possible values of the tension in the second string.
