Problem

In a circle with centre OO and radius 10 cm10\,\text{cm}, a chord ABAB is such that the perpendicular from OO to ABAB meets ABAB at MM with OM=6 cmOM = 6\,\text{cm}. Another chord CDCD subtends the same angle at OO as ABAB. (i) Calculate the length of ABAB. (ii) Determine the length of CDCD. (iii) Find the length of the perpendicular drawn from OO to CDCD and give a reason for your answer.
