A delivery drone leaves a warehouse located at coordinates (2m,−1m) and follows the path W→A→B→C as given below:
W to first checkpoint A : (6m,4m)
A to second checkpoint B : (−3m,7m)
B to customer location C : (5m,−2m)
The entire journey takes 30s.
(i) Taking the warehouse W as origin, determine the net change in the drone’s position when it reaches the customer.
(ii) Calculate the total distance actually travelled by the drone during the trip.
(iii) Compute the magnitude and direction of the drone’s average velocity for the whole journey.
