Problem

During the first 8 s8\,\text{s} after ignition, a rocket motor exerts a constant thrust of 3.0×105 N3.0 \times 10^{5}\,\text{N} on the rocket. (i) Convert this thrust into dynes and express it in scientific notation. (ii) If the mass of the rocket at that moment is 7500 kg7500\,\text{kg}, calculate its initial acceleration. (iii) Assuming the acceleration remains constant for 8 s8\,\text{s}, determine the increase in speed the rocket gains during this interval. (iv) Briefly comment on why using consistent units throughout parts (i)–(iii) is essential when solving problems involving force and motion.
