Problem

A wire of length 0.75 m0.75\,\text{m} is placed in a uniform magnetic field of 0.25 T0.25\,\text{T}. The wire experiences a force of 1.5 N1.5\,\text{N} when it makes an angle of 30∘30^{\circ} with the magnetic field. (i) Calculate the current flowing through the wire. (ii) Keeping this current unchanged, the wire is turned so that it becomes perpendicular to an unknown uniform magnetic field. If the force on the wire is still 1.5 N1.5\,\text{N}, determine the magnitude of this new magnetic field.
