Problem
A boat sails 2km due north, then 3km at 40∘ east of north, and finally 1km due west. Construct a single scale vector diagram to determine:
(a) the magnitude of its total displacement, and
(b) the direction of this displacement expressed as an angle east or west of north (nearest degree).
