(ii) Describe two important differences between distance and displacement with reference to their physical nature and dependence on direction. (iii) A girl walks 60 m60\,\text{m} east from her classroom to the laboratory and then returns the same way back to her classroom. Explain, without doing any numerical calculation, why her distance travelled is not zero while her displacement is zero.
