Problem

Two forces act on a body: F⃗1=3i+4j−2k\vec{F}_1=3\mathbf{i}+4\mathbf{j}-2\mathbf{k} N and F⃗2=−i+2j+2k\vec{F}_2=-\mathbf{i}+2\mathbf{j}+2\mathbf{k} N. (i) Find the resultant force acting on the body. (ii) Determine the unit vector in the direction of this resultant. (iii) A third force F⃗3\vec{F}_3 acts along the direction found in part (ii) and has magnitude 1010 N. Find the components of F⃗3\vec{F}_3.
