Problem

A loudspeaker emits sound waves of wavelength 0.85 m0.85\,\text{m} in air. (a) Calculate the frequency of the sound in air if the speed of sound is 340 m s−1340\,\text{m\,s}^{-1}. (b) The loudspeaker is kept on for 15 s15\,\text{s}. Find the total number of complete oscillations made by the diaphragm of the loudspeaker during this time.
