Answer the following questions with reference to a particle of mass m executing SHM with amplitude A and angular frequency ω:
(i) Define kinetic energy, potential energy and total mechanical energy for the particle.
(ii) State the mathematical expression for each of these energies in terms of m, ω, A and the instantaneous displacement x.
