Problem

In the velocity–time record of a particle executing simple harmonic motion, the velocity is zero at t=0t = 0 and again at t=0.20 st = 0.20\,\text{s}. Between these instants the particle attains a greatest positive velocity of 0.40 m s−10.40\,\text{m\,s}^{-1} at t=0.10 st = 0.10\,\text{s}. If the mass of the particle is 200 g200\,\text{g}, determine the amplitude of oscillation.
