Problem

A fair coin is tossed twice and a fair six-faced die is rolled once. The outcome of the two tosses and the die roll are mutually independent. Define the events: A: “at least one head appears in the two coin tosses”, B: “the number on the die is a multiple of 3”. (i) Compute P(A)P(A) and P(B)P(B). (ii) Find P(B∣A)P(B\mid A). (iii) Using your answers, determine whether A and B are independent.
